This is only a small sampling of the many different and interesting characters
that span the galaxy in which the game takes place.

An eager young adventurer raised on the Terraian colonized planet Delta, Toby
awakens on the morning of his sixteenth birthday with the usual spring in his
step. Both he and his parents, who plan to send him on an educational trip to
their home planet, are completely unaware of the imminent threat which looms
in orbit. When disaster strikes, it will be up to Toby to organize and lead
the counter-strike.

A well-known wrestling and extreme fighting champion, Rick towers over his
opponents with a strength and fierceness rarely seen in unaltered beings.
Always a fair and respectful fighter, his honorable methods have earned him
many fans. Yet, away from the ring, left to his own solitary thoughts, Rick
struggles to decipher the bizarre nightmares which too often invade his sleep.

Having studied combat techniques since early childhood, May is now a soldier
serving the Sharillian Dynasty. At her present age she is a very formidable
opponent who is looked up to by many members of the planet's all-female
military. May's primary duty is to protect the planet's revered shrine
maidens, as well as her princess.

Grim's people, the Tolerians, haven't been seen alive in thousands of years.
It is only thanks to the vast advances in medical technology that he is able
to live and breathe in the modern age. At a time when black market laboratories
are on the rise, manipulating DNA for their own devices, Grim is not of the
more remarkable accomplishments, and is in fact discarded for being too
grotesque.

The Onotonians are a proud and accomplished race, holding the controlling seat
of the Union Empire and having introduced numerous technological advances to
the people. Quam, a dignitary on the council, is well versed in politics and
culture, and holds a distinguished place in society. Though not skilled with
weapons, Quam does have powerful legs which could be trained to deliver mighty
blows.

When the Radanians suddenly change alliances, they become an enemy of the
Union Empire. One of them, a soldier named Gus, has no interest in the new
direction of his leaders, and prepares to take them on directly. His military
training has given him proficience with several different types of weapons,
and with a cybernetically enhanced body he poses an even greater threat to
anyone opposing him.
